Job Vacancy for Sr. BI Developer at Oceaneering in Chandigarh

Purpose

As a BI Developer, successful candidate will function as a primary member for developing ETL flows, Data Visualization to provide value and DSS for Business Users across the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL (9 pt, All Caps)

Create Talend/ODI jobs (ETL) to migrate data from heterogeneous sources such as ORACLE DB, CRM, files, SQL Server, NO SQL database etc.
Hands on experience with Tableau or other Data Visualization tools like Power BI etc.
Experience on Data Virtualization tools like Denodo is a good to have skill.
Recommend design alternatives for data ingestion from variety of sources into different types of target databases.
Design, develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies to support the tactical and strategic reporting and analytics needs.
Meet regularly with other Information Architects to review/enhance Information Architecture policies across the org
Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
Develop and maintain scripts and queries to import, manipulate, clean, transform data from different sources
Perform quality assurance on generated results to ensure accuracy and consistency using Data visualization software and techniques
Design, evaluate and monitor key metrics, understanding root causes of changes in metrics
Developing and publishing Talend Jobs.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED

Minimum BS/BE/BTech/MCA Degree in computer science, MIS etc.
Minimum 4 to 8 years of experience on Tableau or other Data Visualization tools like Power BI etc.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

Hands on experience with Tableau or other Data Visualization tools like MS BI etc.
Hands-on experience of working with Tableau Desktop as well as either Tableau Server or Tableau Online (or both).
Experience working in Agile methodology and facilitating sessions with data warehousing partners.
Must be strong in SQL, and PLSQL skills.
Excellent troubleshooting skills & delivering high-quality deliverable.
Good understanding on ETL concepts.
Understanding of relational database concepts
Work with both IT and BI data internal and external clients to interpret tool, data and/or system requirements as well as to obtain data or develop data structures
Utilize project management routines/methodologies as needed to ensure consistent delivery of data solutions, tools, reports, data, etc. in support of strategic initiatives
Support all technology aspects to ensure operational requirements are met and that all systems development lifecycle technical needs are met (such as operations, deployments, cutovers, testing and support)
Participate in quality assurance testing; translate non-functional requirements and use cases into test plans and test scenarios to test system requirements
Work in Agile environment
Strong with SQL development knowledge for Relational Databases
Business and Technical Analysis skills
Ability to support self-service BI Super Users
Experience in Data Mapping, XML/JSON, and web service
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Experience of designing reporting solutions and the ability to translate customer requirements into creative, innovative and highly effective reports / dashboards.
An understanding of how insight can be delivered through Tableau in a powerful, intuitive manner.
Excellent analytical skills, and the ability to understand a complex data environment.
Experience on Data Virtualization tools like Denodo is a good to have skill.
