Specialist Engineer – Electrical Volvo Group Bangalore, India Job Posted : Mar 26th, 2025 Job Description Key Responsibilities:- Design electrical and electronics systems by identifying the purpose and aim of the system, the component interface, and system behaviours. Delivers according to defined methods, expected inputs and outputs. Lead system engineering in a technical team and play an active role in the delivery. Drive the work from an operational and short-term perspective and Integrate deliveries from others. Responsibility for securing quality and readiness before release. Participate in specification implementation and verification loops to secure system aspects of the solution. Secure that system and non-functional requirements are correctly implemented. Implement system architecture strategies and roadmaps up to the delivery in the end product. Lead concept investigations with teams. Steer exploration of alternatives to establish a system level concept together with teams. Actively support product manager in clarifying needs of capabilities/enablers and breaking down those to features/enablers. Contribute to the development of technical roadmaps and system architecture roadmaps. Lead concept investigation with teams and take the concept for approval through different decision forums. Request technical concepts and system solutions. Manage the interfaces and non-functional requirements within the scope of, for example, agile release train. Qualifications:- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical-, electronics engineering (or similar) with 9 to 12 Years of experience. Product Owner , Project management (PMP Certified), Scrum Master previous role experience will be considered as merit Competence requirements:- Fully proficient knowledge in Electrical Architecture and Truck architecture Expert level knowledge in SABER or any Electrical integration tool like Capital Harness XC/Creo Schematic Expert in developing block schematic or similar topology which shows overall power distribution and Grounding topology on vehicle level. Expert in methods of optimizing the electrical consumption of the vehicle. Wiring Harness & schematic skill Hands on knowledge – CAN, LIN, DOIP, J1938, J1587, UDS protocols, ISO26262(functional safety) Experience in electrical components development & testing Good knowledge in Vehicle End user functions. Should have used quality tools like SFMEA, DFMEA etc. Strong knowledge on power management system like starting, charging, and protection & distribution, which influence the addition of electrical loads in the vehicle Strong knowledge of KOLA (PDM tool) will be added advantage Experience in technical feasibility studies in collaboration with partners is a merit Strong networking abilities and communication skills adept in multicultural environment. Demonstrating right Leadership and Behaviour with rest of the team. Self-driven and Motivated High customer and business focused.
