Solution Manager – Repairs & Retrofits

• The Repair & Retrofits Solution Manager shall drive business growth within the region which comprises mainly  Repairs, Retrofits, Spares, Services / AMC / LTSA’s, digital solution (Uptime)
• You will increase and create predictable repairs and engineered solutions revenue streams through business development and sales initiatives.
• You will be responsible for the improvement of lead times, customer satisfaction and financial margin of repairs and engineered solutions through continued process improvements.
• You will also be required to provide project management of allocated repair and engineered solution projects to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction, and develop the global capability within Howden to provide workshop repairs.
• You will be responsible to develop, support & increase adoption of UPTIME & LTSA solutions across products lines & industry segments
• Identify customer solutions by ensuring full understanding of customer’s requirements and resolve any gaps between requirements and potential solutions
• To seek and implement opportunities to develop capability to provide Repairs and Engineered Solutions.
• To manage and implement our pricing strategy for Repairs and Engineered Solutions
• Work closely with the Technical Support and Sales team, to generate and develop opportunities and win orders
• Actively seek new leads that can be developed into future business
• Actively seek opportunities to offer additional products and services that will add value to the customer
• Work closely with Agents and Partners to support them to generate new leads, respond to queries and win orders
• Working closely with colleagues on the delivery of Repairs and Engineered Solutions projects
• Check quotations and cost make-ups for the complete scope of supply in-house manufactured and bought-out equipment and / or services
• Manage and develop the relationships with customers in a positive manner
• Negotiation with customers as appropriate and within levels of delegated authority
• To set priorities in terms of day to day activities on Repairs and Engineered Solutions
• Liaise with other areas of the business to ensure we can meet customer requirements and to resolve issues that may prevent us from meeting our customer’s expectations
• To manage contract documentation, prepare updates and provide reports for customers
• To manage the handover of major Repair and Upgrades projects to the Project Management team
• Ensure an integrated solid EHS performance and development of an interdependent safety culture

Qualification And Experience:-

• Relevant degree within Engineering / Business
• Experience from similar role of 10+ years coupled with broad experience of Aftermarket business within engineered rotating products viz. Centrifugal / Axial Fans, Blowers, Compressors, Steam Turbines etc.
• Relevant commercial business experience with engineered products from PCOG & heavy industry, Cement / Steel & General Industries.
• Experience of working across multiple locations and cultures, understanding the constraints and working culture within them
• Self-Starter and strong capabilities to deliver results and to build cross-functional teams
• Strategic focus with the ability to analyze, formulate and implement strategies
• Good team player
