Solution Engineer – HVDC Simulation Engineering

• Developing and validating simulation models for diverse EMT simulation tools (e.g., PSCAD/EMTDC,  Matlab/Simulink, RSCAD, EMTP-RV).
• Preparation of technical design specifications.
• Concept clarification in close cooperation with the concept responsible.
• Prepare and setup Real Time Simulators [RTDS] for Hardware In the Loop [HIL] tests with the actual hardware and software of the HVDC system.
• Functional & dynamic performance tests (FPT/DPT) of HVDC Control & protection system.
• Supporting the project management in technical discussions, participating in customer meetings, and coordinating external partners.

Qualification And Experience:-

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering – Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• 5-8 years of experience in Power Systems studies and modelling of electrical network/HVDC/FACTS.
• Initial experience in the areas of power converter technology (HVDC and FACTS), high-voltage technology, digital simulation technology.
• Basic knowledge of real-time simulation systems, preferably with RTDS or comparable (such as Hypersim, e-megasim), and of simulation tools, preferably with EMTDC, EMTP-RV or Matlab/Simulink.
• Knowledge of closed loop/Open Loop control systems and Overall knowledge of interfaces.
• Good English language skills (orally and verbally).
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Visio).
• High ability to work in a multi-national and multi-cultural team.
• Open minded and creative in cooperation with colleagues and customers.
• High commitment and willingness to perform.
• Preference: Knowledge in PSSE, RSCAD, PSCAD, MATLAB, SIMULINK, and Python Tools.
