Solar PV Design Specialist

• Independently conduct solar resource assessment and compute energy yields using industry standards simulating software tools.
• Able to independently conduct technical feasibility study of utility scale solar PV projects.
• Develop initial PV system concept of plant layout which shall essentially include technology assessment, tilt-pitch optimization, DC overload analysis.
• Detailed technical assessment of PV modules and inverters.
• Conduct technical assessment of PV plant components, electrical scheme, design, long term energy yields, project economics, financial model, EPC and O&M contracts.
• Manage/support due diligence solar PV project which shall include initial technical due diligence, construction monitoring, plant acceptance and O&M review.
• Maintain awareness of new product technology and communicate pertinent developments with colleagues.
• Support SgurrEnergy’s solar PV business development activities.
• Site visits in India and abroad.

Candidate Specification:-

• Expert knowledge of solar energy technology and overall Projects lifecycle.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to produce high-quality technical reports within predefined deadline.
• Familiar with international standards for solar PV systems, and other relevant standards;
• Experienced with solar PV system design, inverters, wiring, grounding, utilities interface and performance monitoring.
• Hands on experience in Solar PV yield prediction software’s like PVSyst, Helios, Aurora, PVSol etc.
• In-depth knowledge of Indian solar market and various policy frameworks.
• An understanding of the key technical and commercial aspects of solar projects
• Ability to work both individually and as part of a multi-disciplined team.
• Strong management capabilities.
• Competent user of main Microsoft packages.
• Previous experience working in consultancy and / or project development environment
• Academic background in solar PV technology

Selection process:-

• Telephonic discussion: Preliminary round of discussion over a call by the company HR.
• In person meeting: Technical round of discussion with the domain specialist in Pune office, Microsoft teams may be preferred for outstation candidates.
• HR meeting: Upon shortlisting in technical round, discussion on remuneration at Pune office.
• Director meeting: At Pune office before conclusion.
