Job Description

This role focuses on providing support to engineers in designing solutions, products, machines, systems or structures, respecting time, budget, and quality requirements.

Responsibilities will be mainly to assess the renewable energy investment (solar, wind, hybrid etc.) – technically and commercially and provide required technical guidance that will enable the companies to take strategic decisions.

Key Accountabilities:-

  • Basic and Detail Engineering AC side of PV plants, Pooling substations and Transmission lines up to 400kV level
  • Preparing and reviewing of SLD, specifications, calculations (DSLP, Earthing, Short Circuit, Cable sizing, Relay settings and coordination, etc.)
  • BOM/BOQ estimation of AC components
  • Preparation of specification of components, Bid evaluation, Review of vendors design and documents.
  • Review/Preparation of Quality Assurance, Quality plan, Quality criterion for Components
  • Technical due diligence, techno-economic viability, covering review of technology, design, contracts, infrastructure, permits and clearances
  • Review of performance test procedures, witnessing performance tests and preparing performance test reports for AC system.
  • Delivering advisory, technical due diligence or owner’s engineer projects for solar, and solar associated BESS projects including required econometric assessment.
  • Understanding of policy and regulatory framework for deployment of rooftop PV and utility scale, solar power projects is preferred
  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization in a clear and professional manner

Education:-

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Master’s Degree in Renewable Engineering

Qualifications And Experience:-

  • BE (Electrical), Masters in Renewable Energy/Power system (preferred)
  • Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience solar and wind projects
  • Strong understanding of the renewable energy sector, solar and wind
  • Possess excellent English oral and written communication skills (report writing).
  • Experience for Technical Assistance services for IFI projects (ADB, WB) (preferred)
  • Positive attitude, team player.
  • Flexible to work away from your home office and travel within and outside India
  • Fluency in English, excellent communication and report writing skills
