Software, Senior Test Engineer

Provides Technical leadership on the Validation and Verification of the Foxboro DCS System, Field devices and Industrial Protocol.  Provides technical guidance and mentorship to the team members. Self-driven or driving the vendor partner for the project execution. Display active involvement in the Innovation of the product.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Capable of providing the Technical Expertise in the Foxboro DCS product and demonstrate by guiding through hands-on to the team and/or V&V activities
• Attitude to learn any new products or Test Automation
• Willingness to take initiative to improve the product quality and lean operation
• Follow the Agile Methodologies
• Define the Test Plan, Test Strategy, Test procedure and Test cases
• Work directly with the Vendors and monitor its quality and timely completion
• Reproduce customer complex issue and provide Technical Analysis
• Should be single point of contact for the Eco structure Foxboro DCS to clarify Global Support team

Technical Skills:-

• Configuration and diagnostic of the Eco Structure Foxboro DCS
• Hands-on experience on all the subsystem of Foxboro DCS like Alarms, sysdef, System Manager, Object Manager, Historian etc.
• Configuration of Wonderware System Platform, Wonderware HMI
• Foundation Fieldbus,Profibus etc.
• Logic development
• System Advisor for Foxboro System
• Experience in HMI design through implementation, operations, and maintenance
• Involved in Foxboro DCS Basic Engineering, FAT, and SAT
• ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Fundamentals
• ECO SUI, C264 controller, Sepam or any other IED (Added Advantage)
• Remote Terminal Unit (RTU), IEC 61850 & Modbus (added Advantage )

Desired Prior Experiences:-

• DCS Plant Engineering & Commissioning Experience
• Product Testing Experience in the DCS products in the R&D
• Experience interfacing with Automation vendor or customer interactions
• Exposure to managing difficult client situations
• Working experience using the Software Development Lifecycle
• Knowledge on Agile process
• Experience with Schneider Electric Products is an added advantage.

Educational Qualifications:-

The candidate must be a Graduate Engineer in E&I, Instrumentation & Control, ECE or disciplines with minimum of 5 to 8 years’ experience in the Refinery or any Industry. Overall experience of over 8 years plus needs to apply.

Qualifications:-

• Bachelors in Electrical / Electronics/ Instrumentation engineering.
• 6-8 Yrs of Experience.
• ISTQB Foundation level certification
• Good knowledge on Computer Networking
• Good knowledge on Scripting tools.
• Knowledge on test Automation
• Excellent Communication skills
