Services Specialist – Commissioning

All resources, and logistics required to perform services and maintenance activities on customers’ site/property. These activities contribute to, maintain, repair and refurbish sold or existing products. Includes all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial), manage maintenance facilities and field services engineering. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.

Roles and Responsibilities:-

• All activities related to the testing and validation of an equipment, facility or plant in accordance to the design objectives or specifications for operational use.includes Performance Services, Performance tests
• Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
• Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
• Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
• Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
• Meet GE business expectations by leading business operational processes involving safety, quality, schedule, and cost for service business obligations.
• The Solar Electrical Field Engineer is responsible for Installation, Testing & Commissioning Supervision of GE LV5+ Solar Convertor Station and its auxiliary equipment’s Transformers, Ring Main Units, UPS and Control Systems. Supervise Cabling, FOC and other BOP equipment Installation, Testing and Commissioning.
• Coordinate with contractor site management to comply with GE Standard Operating Procedures. Perform Trouble Shooting, replacement of Parts and take lead in Root Cause Analysis of issues.
• Overall scope includes managing daily site operations, optimized operations, fiscal management, and site safety & quality control
• Ability to perform Commissioning of DC ~ AC GE LV5+ Solar Power Station.
• Technical Certification in GE Solar Convertor Product Application

Qualification And Experience:-

Required Qualifications:-

• Minimum college degree (Bachelors or Associates Engineering preferred)
• Above 5 years of power electronics field service, manufacturing, or test experience (GE experience preferred)
• Solar, Storage, and/or Hybrids product knowledge and business process experience
• Proficient in English language, both verbal and written
• 70% travel required
• Position will be based in India, with domestic and international travel
