Job Description

You will be working as Service Sales Manager – Power & Water at and will be part of Process Automation business for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Service Sales Manager and will be responsible for ensuring successful implementation of the service sales strategy and process in collaboration with the regional service sales specialist or service manager. Driving generation service sales opportunities and secure profitable sales within the designated area(s).

Responsibilities:-

  • Understanding the channel strategy and the establishment of related prices and prepare sales plans, reviews them and proposes recovery plan(s) when needed
  • Utilizing ServIS to understand the existing installed base (IB) and identifies and develops sales opportunities for service products and solutions to penetrate the existing IB/new IBs in the market
  • Generating service sales leads with support of regional service sales specialist and developing new market opportunities by utilizing market trend information, identifying and exploring potential new service portfolios
  • Establishing long term customer relationships by understanding customer requirements and applicable regulations and demonstrating in-depth technical service product / solutions knowledge to promote Life Cycle Management (LCM)
  • Selling entire service product portfolio to expand ABB footprint in the designated area(s). Charting out and monitoring sales proposals, tenders and follows up proposal statistics
  • Acting as a marketer/salesperson of ABB’s service products and solutions during marketing activities (trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, customer meetings)

Qualification And Experience:-

  • Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology (electronics / instrumentation / electrical) from a reputed University
  • More than 12 years of experience with at least 8 years in process automation domain
  • Experience in sales of automation solution in power and water
  • Familiarity and relationship with client base would be a certain advantage
  • Relevant knowledge of ABB control systems viz. symphony Plus, symphony harmony, symphony melody 800xA
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach, with strong written and spoken communication skills
