Senior Technical Analyst – Advanced Process Control System

As a Senior Advanced Process Control System Engineer – Level 2 support, you will be part of Automation Technologies Global PlantLine Technical Support Centre in Chennai. Our department is composed of Multiskilled Engineering and Technical support where we each contribute multiple projects and customers Globally. Even though we are based in Chennai, there will be travel to our customer place whenever is required. Our stakeholders are Process Control / Product control Commissioning, Engineering, Digital smart products (IIOT) colleagues, culturally diverse atmosphere.

Responsibilities:-

• To ensure timely response to customer issues (Tickets / Incidents) with proper resolution in short timeline.
• Fine tuning of controllers in MPC/Fuzzy/PID and implementing innovative technical ideas with process knowledge to maintain sustainable plant productivity.
• You will be involved in conducting process analysis to estimate potential of improvement through ECS/ProcessExpert®  APC Toolbox implementation.
• Responsible for Remote ad-hoc support, Remote maintenance, Sales leads generation etc.,
• Responsible for Domestic and Global Preventive Maintenance visits, Emergency visits & Onsite Training, per-diem visits approximate 5 to 10%
• Your role is predominantly in supporting customer from remote with help of remote support tools, but you may work across the full project lifecycle, including sales support and new solution development and implementation.
• Work in Shifts is must (Incl. Night shifts)
• Passionate to support customer 24×7

Qualification And Experience:-

• Bachelor / Diploma engineering in Electrical / Electronics & Communication / Instrumentation / Chemical.
• Training or Certifications in AI and ML courses is a plus.
• 3 or more years of experience in related field, Advanced Process Control, Cement or Mining Process Optimization/Industry, Automation and Controls. Experience in working at a Cement / Mining plant will be an added advantage

Skills:-

• Knowledge in Advanced Process Control tools like MPC, Neural networks, Fuzzy Logic etc. will be an added advantage.
• Thorough Knowledge of Cement / Mineral process.
• Knowledge in Advanced Cement/Minerals Process Control will be preferred.
• Relevant Site installation and commissioning experience.
• Good Analytical thinking, Systematic working and a high-quality focus.
• Knowledge in Machine Learning models, AI, python programming skills will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge in PLC programming and System level troubleshooting skills will be an added advantage.
• Excellent communication skills
• Should be a team payer
• Willing to learn new high level automation products within short pan of time.
