Senior Team Lead / Manager – Logistics

Responsibilities:-

• Plan and manage Logistics, Warehouse, Packing and Transportation.
• Connect and negotiate with Suppliers, Transporters, CHA, Freight Forwarders to optimize cost
• Ensure 100% compliance of Taxation and other legal requirements
• Resolve any arising problems or complaints
• Develop a high performing team through training, coaching, motivation etc.
• Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets with utmost focus on Safety
• Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance, devise and implement improvement plan
• Co-ordinate with internal and external stakeholders for commercial correctness.
• Provide Freight & Packing estimations to Sales and Marketing in Bids

Qualification And Experience:-

• A Graduate Engineer – Mechanical. Having Diploma in Logistics will be an added advantage
• Around 15 years of Industry experience with at least 7 to 8 years in Logistics and at least 3 to 5 years as Head / Leader of Logistics function with Equipment manufacturer
• Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships and credibility both internally and with external clients with strong customer service skills
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Very good analytical and problem solving skills
• Very good leadership skills with demonstrated track record of building high performing team
• Knowledge of Commercial Terms & Conditions of the Document LC/PO/Invoice, GST, Job Work, Legal Compliance, Customs, Bank, GST, DGFT, EDPMS, IDPMS etc.
• Highly cost sensitive with demonstrated ability to reduce cost
• Experience in working ISO 9001, OHSAS / ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 environment
