Summary:-

• Primary function of this role is to lead and coordinate Design for Excellence’s digitalization of engineering tools effort, develop implementation plan, run pilot programs and establish systems with Digital Engineering org to connect with the design transformation initiative of Engineering Functional Excellence organization. Enable agile and responsive development environment, through digital engineering to support engineering excellence resulting into informed decision making and a more efficient engineering process.

Responsibilities:-

• Responsible for representing DfX to senior leadership at Eaton by evaluating ‘engagement & effectiveness’ of DfX deployment. The X’s at Eaton are- Six Sigma, Reliability, Environment, Cost, Manufacturing & Assembly.
• Lead DfX implementation in Digitalization of Engineering to deliver lean & engineering friendly product development process.
• Build DFSS integration packages for key work streams like PROLaunch, ENOVIA, ProPM, etc. Support evolving the deployment strategy and take part in strategy deployment.
• Strengthen the Engineering Functional Excellence initiative by working with Digital Engineering org’s ongoing efforts to develop digital twins leading to speeding up engineering development.
• Integrate the digital engineering tools/process with Engineering Information Management system.

Qualifications:-

Education level required:-

• Required: Bachelor’s / master’s degree in engineering. Preferred: with strong engineering tools and process understanding.

Technical Knowledge:-

• Prefer DfSS certified Black Belt from reputed organization
• ASQ-CSSBB/CQM/CQE certification is added advantage.

Soft skills:-
