Senior Sourcing Manager (Electrical)

The Senior Sourcing Manager, Electrical will be based in Hyderabad. Onboarding will be virtual for the time being with occasional socially distanced meetings at a Nextracker office. In this position, you will report to the Sr. Director of Global Sourcing, however, will also collaborate with other team members daily. The Senior Sourcing Manager, Electrical will be part of Electrical & Mechanical Sourcing team which is part of Nextracker Supply Chain team at large. General responsibilities will include scouting & benchmarking suppliers, landed cost analysis, contract administration, preparation of reports, presentations & correspondence, market/data research & analysis and data tracking. A highly motivated & focused individual with positive attitude is essential for this role as working within renewable energy industry can often be demanding and challenging, with shifting priorities to keep growing at lightning speed.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:-

• Create and implement global sourcing and procurement strategies for electrical and electro-mechanical components synchronized with Nextracker’s overall supply chain and business strategies.
• Responsible for overall supply chain strategy for components including but not limited to global sourcing, scouting for new suppliers, landed cost analysis, cost benchmarking. lead supplier negotiations, new supplier introduction, tracking metrics and supplier escalations.
• Drive new supplier qualification and onboarding processes.
• Estimating risks and applying risk minimizing techniques and lead contracts negotiations.
• Manage cost roadmaps, capacity planning, and allocation strategy.
• Perform supply and demand analysis, landed cost analysis, supplier performance trends, cost of quality analysis, weighted average scoring and analysis for various situations supply chain team encounters.
• Intense collaboration with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams for scouting new sources, defining supplier selection criteria, new supplier qualification, supplier cost recovery and new product introduction.
• Help maintain supplier performance metrics and organize QBRs with suppliers.

Here is some of what you’ll need (required):-

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training plus a minimum of 15 years of management experience.  A Master’s or MBA degree is preferred.
• Experience in electrical or electro-mechanical sourcing is a must.
• An Independent and Self Driven Supply Chain expert who has the passion to drive results through both Strategic interventions and Operations.
• Effective Communicator with ability to influence suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills with ability to plan tasks, assign resources, manage progress, remove barriers, manage change, resolve conflict, build consensus, and motivate team members across multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills with ability to build effective relationships and influence peers and key stakeholders.
• Willingness to stretch and steer team towards meeting customer and stakeholder expectations.
• Demonstrated command of complex sourcing, negotiating, and supply chain strategies.
• Enjoys working in a dynamic and multi-cultural environment.

• Experience in Solar or renewable energy field is desirable.
• Willingness to Travel (20%) within Asia & Americas.
• Experience in EMS Industry.
