Senior Reliability Test Automation Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer with a solid background in Python programming along with experience in working with power conversion HW, to join our world class Quality team.  The primary task is to develop and maintain automated test software for our products.  Automation is key to the success of our compliance and reliability programs; the quality of our automated test systems directly affect our product quality and time to market.

We are looking for a candidate with an eye for detail and good communication skills, who is self-driven to deliver quality work.  You will be joining our team of talented and supportive staff, working from our office in Bangalore, India.

Responsibilities:-

• Designing and coding new tests and tools to exercise our microinverter, battery storage, and associated products.
• Working with cross functional teams to define new, and improve existing tests
• Creating automated report generation from large datasets (using python-docx, pandas, matplotlib etc).
• Writing unit tests for your code
• Providing input to (Python) code reviews.
• Using continuous integration systems
• Applying Agile methodologies to your workflow
• Writing simple webapps to display collected data
• Leveraging MySQL relational databases to collect test data

Qualification And Experience:-

•  A solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming in Python and good knowledge of Python’s standard library.
• Experience writing production quality Python code – examples would be ideal.
• Experience working with relational databases.
• Experience in Electronics Hardware Engineering, or a related field is essential.
• Experience working with teams distributed throughout a global organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years recent experience.
