Senior Project Engineer -HV/MV

Currently we are looking for a Senior project engineer -HV/MV in India to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our Senior project engineer -HV/MV you will be responsible for coordination and progress monitoring of all technical submittals from project structuring through to technical handover on a dedicated project which shall be a utility scale grid tied HV/MV facility/ substation, or portfolio of linked projects.

Main responsibilities:-

• thought out and smart project structuring that understands and actively considers the anticipated requirements, commercial estimates/ impacts and constraints during design and construction phase of substation and transmission lines.
• careful management of the HV/MV EPC contractor packages, techno-commercial evaluation, progress review and monitoring, interface coordination with the PV plant, ensuring that engineering output is provided timeously as per the project programme and functional requirements.
• a structured and proactive approach to construction that adequately and accurately caters for risk and high levels of safety & quality implementation.
• Coordinate and monitor HV/MV supply and construction contracts, ensuring that the HV/MV facility/ substation is techno-commercially optimized (i.e. well aligned with the Scatec functional requirements, project programme, budget and permit and licensing conditions etc.).
• coordination and progress monitoring during the delivery phase of the HV/ MV construction and supply contracts
• Manage and interface with contractors, utilities and equipment suppliers to establish, negotiate and align all technical and budgetary aspects of the HV/MV facility/ substation.
• Assist the PM to establish and mitigate technical and budgetary risks through an effective and updated Risk Register.
• Contribute to drafting the relevant project reports (Bi-weekly, monthly etc.). for HV/MV packages
• Support in planning and managing the cold and hot commissioning phase of the HV/MV facility in coordination with the respective Site Commissioning manager and Site Construction Manager.

Qualifications and competencies:-

• Degree in Electrical engineering;
• 5+ year of general engineering experience; or technical project management experience; or equivalent project engineering experience.
• An excellent knowledge of MS Office, and project reporting
• Exposure to Utility Scale HV/MV substation (must), exposure to PV / Wind Projects (preferable), developed and executed under Project Finance structures.
