Senior Mechanical CAD Engineer Volvo Group Bangalore, India Job Posted : Mar 15th, 2022 Job Description We are currently looking for passionate engineer to join Electromobility team in the Energy Storage System Battery Pack Structural and Mechanical Hardware area We are responsible for the development transition from conventional powertrains to electromobility and to secure a stepwise implementation in different segments/regions. We develop and drive the electromobility product portfolio for Trucks & Buses as well as creating opportunities for all business areas within Volvo Group. The importance of electromobility is growing every day and a key component within the electrified powertrain is the Energy Storage System (ESS). At our section, we are accountable for the lifecycle management of the ESS, from advanced engineering, throughout product development into the maintenance phase. You have a broad knowledge and experience of design and developing HW systems in a vehicle/automotive environment and are used to express yourself within requirement specifications. You feel comfortable of owning and take responsibility of your components from Pre-study and concept phase, up to Implementation and into maintenance and you do so with a great attitude. Required skills and experience:- Mechanical / Automobile Engineering or equivalent education Experience in CAD design of Sheetmetal brackets, Castings, Tubes and Hoses in engine & driveline systems Excellent in CAD & PLM software (Creo, Windchill, PDM link) Good knowledge in GD&T, Tolerance stack up analysis Good materials knowledge Strong commitment to deliver on time with consistent and strict adherence to quality Be independent, pro-active and continuously strive to improve.
