Senior Manager- Corporate Planning & Strategy

Play a critical role in our Green Hydrogen team, responsible for identifying suitable site locations for ReNew’s Solar/Wind projects for Green Hydrogen Business. This role requires in-depth knowledge of renewable energy project development, site identification, and cost estimation from inception to project erection.

Key Responsibilities:-

Site Identification:-

• Identification of potential sites for solar/wind energy projects, considering factors such as solar/wind resource potential, grid access, environmental impact, and local regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate the suitability of identified sites.

Land Acquisition:-

• Coordinate for land acquisition including negotiations, due diligence, and securing necessary permits and approvals.
• Assess land title and ownership issues and resolve any legal or logistical challenges.

Project Viability Assessment:-

• Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies for prospective projects, analyzing technical, economic, and environmental aspects.
• Evaluate project risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  

Cost Analysis:-

• Review of BoQ estimation for Hybrid Solution (Solar/Wind/ Battery Storage) including plant electrical, civil works, substation, transmission line etc. basis the CUF shared by central solar and wind resource team.
• Develop detailed cost estimates for all project phases, including land acquisition, construction, operations, and maintenance.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize project budgets. Collaboration with cross function teams.
  

Regulatory Compliance:-

• Compliance with all relevant regulations, permits, and environmental standards throughout project development.
  

Stakeholder Engagement:-

• Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and local communities to build positive relationships and support project development.

Reporting and Documentation:-

• Prepare and present reports on site assessments, project viability, and cost analysis to senior management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Renewable Energy, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience (10-15 years) in site selection, BoQ estimation and project viability assessment for hybrid energy projects (solar, wind and storage).
• Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies and their economic feasibility.
• Excellent understanding of land acquisition processes, permitting requirements, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in cost estimation and financial analysis.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
