Job Description

Responsibilities:-

Electrical System Design: Design of electrical power system for Solar PV projects ranging from LV to HV AC – including but not limited to – power evacuation SLD, transformer sizing, conductor sizing, switch gear and protection system design, transmission line design.

  • Equipment Sizing & selection: Determine the appropriate sizing of electrical equipments, including but not limited transformers, switch gear, conductors, and balance of system components, to meet project requirements and specifications.
  • Reliability Assurance: Implement design strategies to enhance the reliability and resilience of solar systems, considering factors such as grounding, lightning protection, site-specific constraints, and operational requirements.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize the performance of solar systems through Understanding and interpreting power system study, then incorporating similar design language.
  • Power System Studies: Provide specifications fro power system studies in line with project and regulatory requirements. Understand the results of the studies and implement the same in project designs.
  • Compliance Verification: Review detailed designs provided by EPC contractors to ensure compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to Sales/ Business Development, project teams and field personnel, leveraging your expertise to address design-related issues and ensure successful project execution.
  • Management Potential: As a senior individual contributor, demonstrate leadership potential and readiness to take on management responsibilities, potentially leading a team of 2-3 individuals in the future.
  • Market Communication: Serve as an excellent communicator across numerous Asian markets, supporting large tenders and leading EPC & supplier discussions and selections, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and partners.

Qualification And Experience:-

  • Bachelor’s or Master‘s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (ACAD) for electrical design and drafting.
  • Strong command of MS Office suite for documentation and data analysis.
  • Proven experience in designing electrical power system design for solar energy systems, ranging from small-scale commercial installations to utility-scale projects.
  • Familiarity with solar PV technology, equipment, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent understanding of electrical systems and power distribution principles for voltages ranging from LV to 200KV.
  • Sound understanding of the IEC standards and applicable regulations for power system design. Global experience especially with respect to regulations across Asian geography is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on ensuring compliance with project requirements and specifications.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Leadership potential and readiness to grow into a management role, potentially leading a team of 2-3 individuals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across diverse Asian markets, supporting large tenders and leading EPC discussions and selections.
