Senior GHG Assessor – Climate change services

• Leading and managing Validation/Verification of GHG projects end-to-end under various schemes like VCS, GCC, GS etc.
• Be responsible for the validation/ verification report and the follow-up of possible corrective action/ clarification or forward action requests.
• Analyze project documentation, including Project Design Documents (PDDs, PSFs, PDs), Monitoring Reports, and Verification Reports and verify that projects adhere to rules, methodologies, and guidelines under specific schemes like VCS, GCC, GS etc. Document findings and provide technical recommendations for improvements.
• Assess the environmental impact and sustainability of projects.
• Conducting the required site visits for Validation and verification of GHG projects as per requirements of various schemes like VCS, GCC or GS.
• Review and validate greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction calculations. Ensure accurate application of baseline and monitoring methodologies.
• Prepare comprehensive review reports.
• Ensure all reports are completed and submitted within the required timelines.
• Maintaining the records for each project in line with accreditation requirements as well as DNV internal procedures.
• Collaborate with project developers, validators, and verifiers.
• Responsible for entire cycle of the project starting from planning stage till the final invoicing.

Experience Requirements:-

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mech/Elect/Chemical)/Environment science from a reputed college or university.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in GHG projects under various carbon market schemes like CDM, VCS, GS or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of CDM/VCS/GCC/GS methodologies, rules and requirements, guidelines.
• Proficiency in GHG emission reduction calculations and monitoring.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• In-depth knowledge of ISO 17029 and ISO 14065 standards.
• Thorough understanding of the accreditation process for VVBs.

Preferred qualifications:-

• Certification in GHG inventory or verification, awareness of standards like ISO 14064-1, ISO 14064-2, ISO 14064-3, ISO 14067, GHG Protocol
• Knowledge of relevant software and tools for GHG calculations and data analysis.
