Senior Engineer – Systems Engineering

• Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) has an opening for a Senior System Engineer – Mission Systems Division (MSD) in the Aerospace Business. This position will be based in Pune, India.
• The position will be responsible for systems architecting and systems design of Aerospace Mission Systems / subsystems by supporting system engineering activities.
• The individual will be responsible for leading systems modelling and validation activities for new product development including, analyzing requirements and assessing compliance, defining interfaces, understanding complex system development methods, reviewing component spec, and providing technical expertise and guidance to team members and mentoring new engineers.
• Additionally the individual will be responsible for development of specifications for operational needs and use of adequate design and analysis toolkits for modelling and simulation of end-to-end system performance. Candidate must work simultaneously on projects in different phases; while demonstrating robust design and validation skills.
• A successful candidate will need knowledge and have prior experience of Aerospace product development process at system and subsystem levels.

Qualifications And Experience:-

• Bachelors / Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Systems Engineering or equivalent
• 7 years of total experience of System Engineering in Requirements engineering, hydraulics & pneumatic System design, development, validation & launch
• Responsible to execute full Systems Engineering development life cycle including requirements management, design, development, verification & validation, qualification & certification testing in Aerospace.
• Drive new programs of ‘Aerospace Mission Systems Division’ development having product portfolio in Air to Air refueling, environmental systems and actuation systems, other components product engineering including engineering processes to meet objectives.
• Execute system engineering work while driving continuous improvement to fulfil project, system KPIs and meet customer satisfaction.
• Should have experience working with customer requirements management (DOORS experience preferred).
• Experience in system modeling and validation while dealing with Multiphysics in Mechanical, pneumatic/hydraulic & Electric / Electronics, risk management to enable decision making by using robust design methodologies. DFSS GB certification / deployment is preferred.
• Execute System Architecture ideas and demonstrate feasibility through relevant engineering calculations / predictions.
• Model Based System Engineering (CAMEO tool) experience preferred.
• Execute Multiphysics system simulations through MATLAB Simulink software complying with the specifications. Drive digital transformation by leveraging data, insights and digital tools.
• Drive and execute a new mechanical/pneumatic system Development through Eaton Prelaunch / Prelaunch system Engineering processes.
• Should have working experience with CAD, analytical & analysis tools (Creo, MATLAB/Simulink, AmeSim, Mathcad)
• Should have proficiency in advanced problem-solving techniques.
