Lead multiple projects/programs related to NPI’s and Sustaining through execution of these programs/projects in a timely manner, supporting the business goals and Profit Plan objectives
Independently handle the projects for switches product line from India and collaborate with global team for execution & delivery
Further, works closely with global teams for technical/functional deliverables on assigned activities & should contribute in product development & technology innovation and additionally VAVE
Understands product requirements of Low Voltage power distribution products in terms of application, design considerations, working principals, complex system interactions and implement in projects that you work
Key deliverables include ensuring 100% OTD of Gates for PROLaunch projects, creating DVP, DFMEA, Scope document, completing Activity matrix and taking approval from WPA, eliminating non-conformances through appropriate Problem-solving techniques such as DoE as in when needed and utilize Simulation for CTQ’s, reviewing ECR with counter parts from US and completing it with 95% FPY & 100% OTD
3D modelling & drafting along with design activities including conceptual design, Design Optimization, Product Cost analysis, Prototype Building and Validation through Testing of LV electrical switchgear products (ANSI /UL, IEC, NEMA, CSA).

Responsibilities:-

Lead Sustaining/MoL (maintenace of line) projects to ensure sustainability of product portfolio
Develop/modify 3D models, drawing & BOM of Switch and LV distribution componenent/assemblies
Performs project engineering work from design to implementation; communicates expectations, plans and also coordinates all work within the scope of assigned projects
Review reliability predictions, and Design Failure Modes and Effects analysis (FMEA) and structural/thermal/CFD results. Select engineering techniques to solve problems and make design recommendations
Develop artifacts like HOQ, PDSC, Pugh/Trade-off matrix, Boundary diag, P-diag etc
Develop presentations/proposals to present it to global stake owners and to get necessary approvals for NPI/MoL projects
Maintain project schedule and update details in PROPM tool for global review where required
Support engineering through competitive benchmarking, teardown activities
Collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams at global level spread across multiple locations.
Able to identify an issue, propose a solution and review with necessary engineering team (COE, R&D, Quality, etc.) for final approval.
Able to convert verbal explanation into an Engineering Drawing/proposal
Responsible for conducting tests by ensuring deployment of standard practices. Asses test results, root cause analysis through test findings/failures and takes corrective/preventive actions
Able to utilize local ecosystem to build products, test and apply learnings

Qualifications And Experience:-

BE/ME Mechanical 8 to 10 years
Minimum of 6 years of experience in designing LV electrical products
Experience in short circuit, temperature rise, arc test, test duties in accordance with IEEE/IEC/UL standards
Proficient in performing root cause analysis, coming out with quicker design solutions, own and execute projects with end to end responsibility
Experience in product costing and analyzing cost break-up due to various manufacturing processes/design features
Experience in test object requirements, plan for assembly and finalize test parameters & instrumentation
Hands on experience in product development leveraging DfX methodology
Engineering technical expertise to solve problems and make design recommendations”

Skills:-

Proficiency in design review process/toll gate process & deliverables for Sustaining/NPI Projects
Experience in PLM software like Enovia/SAP/Windchill
Experience in 3D modelling, detailing and drafting experience on Autodesk Inventor/ProE/AutoCAD
Knowledge on Bill of material structures
Proficient in standards UL 1008, UL 991, NEMA ICS 10, NFPA 70 and CSA C22.2 No.178 standard for Transfer switch equipment
Hands-on experience in DoE, DFMEA, DVP, PDR etc
DFSS certification and Hands-on experience in Six Sigma (Mini-tab, Anova etc.)
Knowledge in Switch mechanism, material selection and production processes

Preferred Qualifications:-–

Experience and working knowledge of Project Management methodology
Ability to interpret data from multiple sources to determine final requirements
Strong Analytical and Problem-solving skills with Continous improvement mindset
Good presentation skills and a strong influencer
Fluent in English and able to communicate with team overseas
Effective time management, prioritization
Experience to work with cross functional team
Experience working with stringent timelines, and support of multiple projects in parallel”
