Senior Engineer-Projects (Civil)

Role & Responsibilities:

• End to end responsibility of managing Civil site execution of EHV substation projects (GIS/AIS) to ensure that the assigned projects are being executed as per the project plans and in accordance with construction and contract management standards with cost effectiveness and the most efficient use of resources.
• Responsible for executing civil work as per approved civil drawing in co-ordination with electrical requirements.
• Responsible for overall coordination with the customer and its consultant for all civil work related approvals and billing activities for certification of measurements & bills for timely collection of payments from the customer.
• Building and maintaining relationships with customer officials, consultants, contractors, service providers, statutory agencies, other departments, and/or other parties as required.
• Responsible for subcontractor and service provider works and interface with project planning and scheduling to ensure accurate execution of schedule.
• Representing the Company in the negotiation of scope and schedule changes to customer purchase orders and / or contractor purchase orders.
• Preparing civil work schedules and allocating resources, as well as supervising junior engineers, sub-contractor team.
• Documenting processes and presenting project progress updates to senior managers and clients.
• Provide guidance and direction to civil engineering staff, ensuring their compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and codes.
• Participate in the technical reviews and progress review of projects.
• Ability to communicate confidently and professionally with all levels of staff and clients.
• Responsible for timely processing vendor’s amendment proposal related to civil works.
• Maintaining a safety conscious work environment and quality standards on all sites.
