Senior Engineer Pipeline

You will be part of a department with many interesting projects such as traditional gas infrastructure pipelines and facilities, as well as the green transition, with a growing portfolio of Hydrogen and CO2 pipelines, as well as submarine cables to offshore wind farms. We perform the design work for the pipelines and cables in the department, and cover all phases of the projects, from Feasibility to FEED to Detailed design, as well as site supervision, so you will be able to see the result of your work directly applied in construction onshore and offshore. As an example, we have performed design work for both the offshore and onshore pipelines on the Baltic pipe project and are currently assisting with supervision during construction works.

Responsibilities:-

• Pipeline engineering and project engineering management.
• Natural gas, H2 and CO2 pipeline design.
• Pipeline Cost Estimating.
• Project Report writing and presentations
• It would be a benefit if the applicant has interest in and can document good skills in FE modelling. We work in ANSYS, SIMLA, Orcaflex, MATLAB and other specialized programs/applications developed in-house or acquired commercially.

Qualifications And Experience:-

• B.E. / M.E. / B. Tech. / M. Tech in Marine Structure / Structural Engineering / Offshore engineering (from reputable university)
• Professional experience as Offshore Pipeline Engineer for a minimum of 8-10 years for offshore pipelines.
• Experience in pipeline projects and performing Concept, FEED Detailed Design, EPC and/or Follow-on Construction Engineering
• Minimum 4+ years of experiences as senior offshore pipeline in making feasibility studies, concept design, FEED, and detailed design of offshore pipeline.
• Experience with H2 and/or CO2 pipeline systems would be an advantage
• Excellent knowledge of pipeline design software (e.g. SIMLA, ANSYS, FatFree, Stablelines)
• Confidence in own ability in relevant problem solving.
• Huge insight in the geotechnical aspects related to offshore pipeline design
• Experience in pipeline design disciplines, such as wall thickness, route selection, global buckling design, fatigue, material selection and/or on-bottom stability
• Experience in landfall design and trenchless pipeline construction techniques would be an advantage
• Must be familiar with the relevant pipeline industry codes and standards (DNV, API, ASME, NACE)
• Knowledge of pipeline materials, corrosion mechanisms or welding would be an advantage
• Knowledge on Pipeline Commissioning and start-up would be an advantage
• Have good client focus and project reporting skills.
• Ability to focus on solutions and have some degree of self-motivation to reach the target
