Job Description

Responsibilities:-

  • Understand how a process plant operates using the provided source information, such as PFDs, P&IDs, control/operating philosophies, C&Es, datasheets, package supplier IOMs and derive the information required by clients for the safe operation of the facility, system or equipment.
  • Develop operating manuals and procedures adhering to agreed standards and templates.  This will include procedures for facility and system start-up, shutdown, restart, initial start/cold start-up, well ramp-up, depressurisation, draining and purging, equipment change-overs and incorporating any relevant HAZOP recommendations.
  • Contribute to the team’s activities with engineering and operations knowledge and experience.
  • Perform technical and human factor reviews of work by peers.
  • Review assigned Wood deliverables for technical and editorial accuracy.
  • Staying up-to-date on relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments.
  • Ensure that Wood delivery methodologies incorporate industry-recognized best practices.
  • Ensures quality of delivery

Qualifications:-

  • Candidate should have BE/BTech Degree in Chemical Engineering from recognized university.
  • Candidate should have minimum 12 years of experience in writing process operating manuals and procedures.
  • Process Engineering experience in upstream and downstream is a must.
  • Candidate should hold Indian Passport.
  • No site visit is expected

Knowledge, skills and experience:-

  • Possess good understanding of various process engineering deliverables like PFDs, P&IDs, control system
  • Exceptional verbal and written English
  • Logical & Critical thinker.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office, especially MS Word
  • Engineering degree
  • Ideally, hands-on experience in process operations, process operations management or OTS operations
  • Ability to work to deadlines on team and individual assignments
  • Operations documentation projects delivery
  • Development and SME input into Operations documentation
  • Diligent and dependable in the consistent application of established process
  • Professional demeanour with appropriate interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional written communication [technical report writing]
  • Quantitative risk and reliability techniques
  • Operations task criticality assessments
  • IT Literate (Excel / Word)
