Job Description
- Good knowledge of fire and plumbing international codes such IPC, NFPA and UAE civil defence code.
- Water supply layout/storm water design layout/drainage layout, statutory approval drawings, material take-off from layouts.
- Design of Sprinkler, hydrant and gas based firefighting systems.
- Hydraulic calculations for water supply/ storage and fire water demand and pressure.
- Coordination with other MEP and structural services.
- Work within time limits to complete deliverables on time.
- Share knowledge and experience with other staff in the section and organisation particularly to help develop more junior staff.
Candidate Specification:-
- Must have worked on designing of Plumbing and Firefighting systems for Residential/Commercial/Infra projects.
- Engineer Civil/Mechanical equivalent in respective engineering discipline.
- Relevant years of experience in the field of design.
- Experience in drafting of drafting of plumbing layouts, Schematic diagrams and preparation of BOQ.
- Experience in relevant design software such as Auto CAD, REVIT and IT Literacy.
- Have good oral and written communication skills.
