Senior Engineer- Building Physics

As our new Senior Building Physics Consultant, you will be part of our global High-Rise department, Ramboll’s dedicated team of high-rise experts which have designed over 150 tall building projects globally, including some of the most technically challenging designs.

The new Senior Engineer- Building Physics will be part of the Mumbai Buildings Team. However, person can join any of our offices located in Mumbai/Chennai/Hyderabad & Gurugram, India.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:-

• Conducting early design stage simulations to assess climatic data and passive and active design strategies.
• Preparation of passive design strategy reports utilizing simulation results to inform key stakeholders of different design constraints and opportunities.
• Develop and conduct energy modelling exercises, both at early and detailed design stages to assess the project’s annual energy consumption inline with ASHRAE 90.1 guidelines.
• Maintaining a high level of professional responsibility in undertaking the required services
• Ensuring a high level of communication with the sustainability team to ensure that analysis results are well presented and understood by the design team/clients.
• Working alongside the sustainability team to help deliver the evidence required for various sustainability certification requirements.
• Conducting CFD and UTCI simulations to assess outdoor thermal comfort levels achieved by the design and proposing cost effective strategies to improve outdoor thermal comfort.

Qualification And Experience:-

• Must possess with 5-6 years of professional experience in the building physics and simulations industry.
• In-depth understanding of various energy consuming building systems and energy saving opportunities.
• Understanding and previous experience with international green building rating system requirements such as LEED.
• Excellent understanding of analysis software’s such as Rhino, Grasshopper, Climate Studio, IES-VE.
• Previous project experience in carrying out various analysis such daylighting, energy modelling etc.
• Excellent organizational skills, effective time management, including the ability to deal with conflicting demands in order to meet deadlines, prioritize heavy workload and have a willingness to work flexibly.
