Senior Director Design Engineering

The IP Director for the IoT, Compute and Wireless (ICW) Business in India will directly manage 7+ Core IP teams building CPU subsystems, I/O subsystems, System Resources subsystems, Platform Verification infrastructure and SROM boot/code verification. The total team size is currently >50 design and verification engineers supporting all ICW units (MCU, Industrial, WiFi and Bluetooth). The Director will be expected to scale our Bangalore presence with aggresive growth to support a robust product roadmap.
Core IP IP Power, Performance and Area (PPA) is a key differentiating aspect of ICW products for embedded applications. This position functionally reports into the ICW Vice President for IP design.

Management Responsibilities:-

• Define Core IP Subsystem vision, roadmap and development strategy
• Develop functional leads including work mode, execution and Technology innovation
• Manage and recruit well educated experts for Core IP Subsystems, on chip bus infrastructure and associated IP design and verification competencies, including recruiting, hiring, training, reviews, skill & people development
• Implementation of the R&D strategy & Division roadmap for Core IP Subsystems
• Deployment of leadership & cultural principles
• Hiring focus: attitude and talent – manage capability and capacity
• Organization development, development plans for key employees, well communicated roles and responsibilities
• Responsibility of all development activities of ICW global IP Subsystem requirements (product portfolio, predevelopment, innovation)
• Commitment of resources and deliveries for projects (schedule, budget quality), pipeline balancing R&D excellence (KPIs, R&D efficiency and effectiveness, best practice sharing, sound project and risk management)
• Vision for development and support of CPU Subsystems design, verification, Core Platform (Combination of CPU Subsystem, Power & Clock Management & IO Subsystems) verification, Embedded SROM FW Verification
• Innovation management.

Qualification And Experience:-

• You are an ideal fit to the role if have 20+ year’s experience in Logic IP, Subsystem and/or SoC Design for ASIC technical knowledge of RTL Design, LINT, CDC, UPF, Synthesis, Timing Constraints using ARM based micro-controllers (example: CortexM0/M0+/M4/M7/M33/M55/M75)10+ years people management (direct manager of >25 employees including line managers)
