Senior Designer – Milling and Grinding

• Possess both theoretical and practical knowledge / skills within product engineering and exposure to the system and process related to mills
• Make technical drawings using AutoCAD and 3D design work using SolidWorks.
• Studies drawings with senior colleagues to ensure safe operation and maintenance of plant/system.
• Creating 3D models with design intent and knowledge in design for manufacturing will be added advantage.
• Prepare Layouts, GA Drawings, Fabrication and Assembly drawings using AutoCAD and 3D models in SolidWorks.
• Checking of model and parts list, Flow sheets, General arrangement drawings and layouts.
• Responsible for deliverables and maintaining design effectiveness.
• Making of enquiry specification for Bought out equipment, evaluate the vendor offer for technical requirements, decide on the vendor equipment.
• Experience in Solid works and AutoCAD is must, knowledge in Enovia is an added advantage.
• Prepares and ensures documentation of parts lists, drawings, instructions, and layouts as part of technical manuals.
• Constantly improving technical skills and keep updating on the latest developments in mining product engineering.
• The candidate should Possess technical knowledge/skills and experience on product engineering related to Mills Prepare layouts and GA considering safety, manufacturing, transportation, erection, operation, and maintenance aspects Knowledge on the Enovia web client and windows is required.
• Hands on experience in Product life cycle (PLM / PDM) software will be added advantage.
• Prepare Bill of material/part list and requisitions for the product assemblies Prepare proposal estimate drawings with the material mass distribution estimation.
• Identify the complex areas of the product and simplify it by making standards and check lists.
• Analyze the revisions of drawings and provide ideas for prevention of mistakes.
• Adhere to departmental procedures and standards Update knowledge continuously on product drawing standards through learning and sharing.
• Render support to others on competent areas and seek support on challenge areas and escalate issues immediately Extend efforts as needed to complete tasks on time within allotted hours and with high quality Collaborate with team members.

Qualification And Experience:-

• Diploma with 8-10 years industrial experience
• Degree with 4-8 years industrial experience
• Proficient with Solid works and AutoCAD and using PLM systems
• Proficient with engineering design tools
• Proficient in engineering fundamentals
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Proficient in Manufacturing processes, materials, and global quality standards
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with core discipline design teams to achieve a working solution to problems and/or design issues
• Proficient in change management and conflict resolution
• Proficient in reading and understanding technical drawings
