Pune, Maharashtra Job Posted : Apr 8th, 2024 Job Description Your main task will be to manage the project and steer the project team in order to deliver project in time, within the budget and according to the Customer Specification. The main responsibilities for the Senior Design Engineer or Lead Engineer are:- Collect and interpret information and translate this information into design specification for project team Play an active and coordinating role for various project teams / cross functional teams Manage various projects at a given time while ensuring that project delivery happens on time in full Completely responsible for project planning. Close coordination with the Project Manager on all projects related to the division and with Service Delivery Heads for competence. Provide technical support to the project team Experience Requirements:- BE / B Tech in Instrumentation Engineering / Electrical engineering with Minimum 4-8 years of designing experience in project execution in an engineering or product organisation. Knowledge / Educational requirements:- At least BE / B Tech in Instrumentation / Electrical engineering and shall be having the following experience: Designing and estimation of power, control and instrumentation systems for Engine/ Motor driven compressors in safe & hazardous areas for various gases applications like LNG, CNG gas, Biogas application packages, Nitrogen etc. Post-bid tendering including floating of enquiries, techno-commercial comparisons /negotiation discussions and vendor selection. Preparation of project activity schedules for E & I, Lead and manage the manpower and resources, maintain hourly logging of engineering hours. Monitoring of the project document preparation and approval at review meetings and ensure timely delivery of documents. Preparation of P & I Diagrams as per ISA, Block Diagrams. Preparation of Instrument specifications, cable specifications, junction box specifications etc as per tender requirement. Perform Instrument sizing calculations (control valves, safety valves, flow elements, temp elements) and Bulk material take-offs. Prepare Installation, Hookup, Wiring, Loop drawings, JB Schedule, Cable Schedule, Instrument & JB location, Tray layout etc. Develop Control Narratives and Cause & Effect Diagrams, Alarm trip list for Compressor plants/ generating sets. Prepare Control System Specifications, review vendor documents & attending FAT / SAT Knowledge of SPI Intools will be an added advantage. Prepare specifications of electrical equipment’s, GA & Wiring diagrams of the Relay / PLC based control panels, Selection of electric motors, Relay / PLC based control panels, SCADA, Data Loggers, Controllers, and cables for hazardous as well as safe areas. Selection of instruments such as gauges, indicators, indicating controllers, transmitters, flow meters, control valves, on/off valves for safe as well as hazardous area. Approval of GA / Wiring diagrams & datasheets for motor, panels, and instruments Inspection of instruments, PLC panels, Motors, control panels, MCCs as per QAP / Approved documents Knowledge about Vibration sensor selection, Bentley Newada System, Shinkawa Development of team by preparation of the competency matrix and IDP (Individual development plan for individual engineers, understanding their training needs and their training through internal as well as external means. Monitoring and review of performance and capabilities of individuals at regular intervals. Co-ordination with client / consultants and suppliers for technical discussions, document approval process. Commissioning / trouble shooting assistance for relay / PLC based control panels, instruments and HT/ LT motors driven as well as engine driven compressors. To contribute towards the development of the technical databank, formats for all documents focusing the standardization needs, developing processes for documentation, training and presentations for juniors, formatting of checklist for various work activities based on experience. Pre-bid tender support to Sales/ customer centers department in estimation of electrical and instrumentation systems meeting end customer’s requirement on top most priority. Attending the technical meetings during pre-order and post-order. Knowledge of Centrifugal Compressors will be added advantage Software skill requirement:- Must be proficient in:- AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD Mechanical, MS Excel Medusa Advantage having proficiency in EPLAN Software (P8 Prof & Panel Pro) Advantage having proficiency in SPI Intools Must be having good knowledge of:- Inventor, MS office suite, SAP Software’s, PLC’s for Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC’s, Personality requirements:- Must be confident enough to take on challenges, ready to travel / posting for site support (if needed), and ability to develop team Location:- Pune, Maharashtra.
