Job Description

Key Responsibilities:-
Resource Planning and Allocation
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive resource plans to ensure optimal allocation of R&D resources.
  • Collaborate with project managers and department heads to identify resource needs and allocate resources based on project priorities and deadlines.
  • Monitor resource utilization and adjust allocations as needed to address over- or under-utilization.
Workload Management:-
  • Analyze team workloads to ensure a balanced distribution of tasks and responsibilities.Implement processes and tools to track and manage workload distribution across teams.
  • Identify potential bottlenecks and work with relevant stakeholders to redistribute tasks and alleviate pressure points.
Forecasting and Capacity Planning:-
  • Conduct regular capacity planning exercises to anticipate future resource needs based on project pipelines and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain forecasting models to predict resource requirements and availability.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on resource capacity and planning.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:-
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to resource utilization, productivity, and workload balance.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, highlighting trends, issues, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Use data-driven insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
Process Improvement:-
  • Identify and implement best practices and process improvements to enhance resource management and workload balancing.
  • Develop and refine policies and procedures for resource planning, allocation, and workload management.
  • Stay current with industry trends and tools in resource management and apply relevant innovations to the organization.
Stakeholder Collaboration:-
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their resource needs and challenges.
  • Act as a liaison between project teams and senior management to ensure alignment on resource management strategies.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across departments to optimize resource utilization and project outcomes.
Training and Development:-
  • Provide training and support to team members on resource management tools, processes, and best practices.
  • Mentor junior team members and support their professional development in workload and resource management.

Education:-

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.

Experience:-

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in resource management, project management, operations, or a related role.

Technical Skills:-

  • Proficiency in resource management and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana). Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis and reporting. Advanced proficiency in Excel and other data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

Soft Skills:-

  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
