Job Description
Duties & responsibilities:-
- Perform examination and review of financial records, reports, management controls, policies and practices affecting/reflecting the financial condition and operations results.
- Maintain effective communications with your Manager, members of the Client Finance team, and other members of the IAS team
- Capability to perform a review and interpret data to formulate a conclusion and communicate effectively.
- Perform a review and tests of compliance (SOCR, SOX and JLL Processes) of month-end financial close packages to ensure timely and accurate financials
- Insure that all bank statements are reconciled on a timely basis and follow-up on all outstanding checks and reconciling items monthly.
Performance objectives:-
- Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision
- Identifies the problem and all relevant issues in straightforward situations, assesses each using standard procedures, and makes sound decisions
Key skills:-
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with internal.
- Demonstrated consistency in values, principles and work ethic
- Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft applications with ability to quickly learn systems and processes (JD Edwards experience a plus)
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce & accounting
- 3-4 years of accounting experience required; experience in financial analysis or audit (internal or external) with emphasis on financial audits and internal controls testing a plus
