Renewable Energy Specialist

Responsibilities:-

• Serve as the technical expert on renewable energy technologies and contribute to technical deliverables.
• Advise government stakeholders on improving legal, policy, regulatory, fiscal, and technical measures to enhance renewable energy on the grid.
• Identify opportunities and challenges for accelerating deployment of RE technologies in the South Asian energy sector.
• Lead formulation, review, and redesign of policy and regulatory frameworks to promote deployment RE technologies.
• Conduct investment analysis and develop financial models to accelerate deployment of advanced technologies.
• Prepare bidding frameworks, tender documents, and support bidding processes.
• Enable investments by supporting M&A transactions, start-ups in RE and related technologies, and incubating new companies/businesses.
• Prepare and author reports, research papers, articles on SAREP themes.
• Prepare and deliver presentations on key RE/advanced technologies themes.
• Conduct trainings and capacity development workshops for developers, policy makers, government counterparts, and regulators.

Qualification And Experience:-

• Master’s degree in renewable energy, energy systems, finance or economics or related field and 6 years of experience; bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, electronics, industrial) and 8 years of experience.
• At least 5 years in policy and regulatory analysis or planning, financing, and deployment of solar/wind/BESS/grid integration of RE.
• Experience is M&A related to RE is highly desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisor, technical staff and clients.
• Ability to understand, present and convey financial information to non-financial staff and effectively assist in the management of a project from a financial perspective.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse team members.
• Motivated and able to work under challenging and fast paced environment.
• Well networked in South Asia particularly with leading RE players, financial institutions, and service providers.
• Ability to effectively prioritize workload, self-manage and complete tasks to best meet project needs.
• Ability to handle the stress associated in meeting frequent, multiple, and tight deadlines.
