Reliability Engineer Specialist Applied Materials Bangalore, India Job Posted : Oct 6th, 2021 Job Description Key Responsibilities:- Capabilities in such areas as statistical analysis, Stochastic data mining, analysis of reliability and life data, experimental design Utilize component reliability testing combine with statistical reliability analysis techniques to ensure product reliability test efficiency. Design for Reliability (DfR) strategy and roadmap across multiple business groups Proliferate Design for Reliability (DfR) best practices within the organization for New Product Development lifecycle Application of mathematical models and statistical methods – empirical & stochastic Define & standardize Reliability requirements. Mentor, train and deploy across cross functional teams Formulate Field data, Warranty and Maintainability strategy Design and implement tools, methods and procedures for reliability demonstration / accelerated test, prediction and simulation tools, product performance and maturity Define reliability KPIs for product development cycle Execute strategic initiatives both within and crosscut partners Develop inhouse reliability database, tools, and processes for operational effectiveness Communicate effectively with global cross-functional leaders and teams Position always requires understanding of Applied Materials Global Standards of Business Conduct and compliance with these standards. Job Specific Knowledge:- Knowledge of one or more statistical software packages (knowledge of SAS is a plus) Programming and data management skills (e.g., C++, SQL, Visual Basic, Python, Access) are especially desirable Drive Application of reliability engineering (Reliability goal setting, FMECA, FTA, RBD, Reliability Prediction, MTBF Calculation, Weibull Distribution and Reliability Growth) Design for Reliability (DfR) in product development. Expertise in Life Data Analysis (Weibull ++), Accelerated Life Tests, Reliability Growth Models- Crow AMSAA, Degradation Models, Reliability Block Diagrams, System & Component Reliability modelling, Prediction Tools, Derating, Reliability Allocation, Availability & Maintainability, JMP, Minitab and Monte Carlo Simulation Expertise in Windchill Quality Solutions (Relex) or Reliasoft Deep understanding of Reliability Models like NPRD, MIL217, PRISM, Telcordia etc. Conversant with SEMI, IEC, ISO, UL, MIL, ISTA, etc. standards for various test protocols Industry experience (preferably MNCs, engineering conglomerates) in automotive, aviation or similar domain. Experience in Semiconductor equipment industry is a plus Skills:- Ability to effectively execute assigned tasks and conduct complex assignments in a high-paced & challenging work environment. Strong skills in problem solving Excellent oral and written communication skills Critical thinking and excellent interpersonal skills Ability to effectively communicate in a global work environment and across various cultural backgrounds Ability and willingness to travel (international and domestic) Education:- B. Tech / M.
