R&D Team Lead Systems & Tools

You will be working as R&D Team Lead Systems & Tools and will be part of Motion business area for System Drives division based out at Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Department Lead and will be primarily responsible for driving the organization, both on the local and global level. Collaborating with many different stakeholders across different countries and cultures.

Responsibilities:-

• Managing and leading group of 20 engineers plus a variable number of external contract engineers and interns. Guiding, coaching, and mentoring engineers on career, competence and soft skills
• Structuring and leading activities in the context of the scaled agile framework (SAFe). Promoting a culture of continuous improvements always striving for quality and efficiency. Also responsible for recruiting of new or additional resources
• Staffing projects with competent people, making sure that the workload of the overall team fits the assigned projects. Driving resource and competence management globally within the software area
• Foster a climate of innovation by motivating, guiding and empowering team members. Ensuring effective exchange of knowledge to promote collaboration and develop new technological approaches and solutions
• Safeguarding quality assurance of all deliverables from the development team. Ensuring timely and on-budget execution of projects and work packages monitors progress and takes corrective actions if necessary
• Ensuring that the right product development processes and tools are adopted. Proposing and executing improvement processes within the team
• Ensuring and fostering own organization and employees to gain the ability to challenge the status quo in technical issues, projects, processes and translating this into dedicated actions
• Collaborating with the local business management, on customer requirement, customer challenges, local market business potential and strategically proposing, planning and executing for improving the customer satisfaction and business volumes

Qualification And Experience:-

• Bachelors or Masters in Engineering or Technology from a reputed university
• Minimum 12 to 16 years of experience in desktop tools / embedded software development, project management and people management
• Experience in C#, .NET, WPF, VS, C++, Python platforms & strong team-leader with skills in team development and a focus on results and accountability
• Knowledge and experience in PLCs, industrial automation solution / system business, converters, motors, electrical machines domain is an added advantage
