R&D Engineer-Power Transformer Electrical Design Specialist

Responsibilities:-

• The successful candidate will be part of an R&D Team specialized in the Technology development of Power transformers.
• Drives for product cost-out activities through appropriate design actions on Transformers.
• Possessing knowledge of Indian and International Standards & Codes – IEC, IEEE, BIS, DIN, ISO for electrical design-related aspects of power transformers and shunt reactors.
• Developing new ideas for transformer designs based on technology requirements.
• Works on standardizing schematics and supports R&D / manufacturing engineering / VAVE (Value Added/Value Engineering) projects,
• Running verifications using simulation tools (Dielectric/Electromagnetic/Thermal) to simulate different behaviors of the power transformers
• Document all activities, data, and information in line with procedures

Qualification And Experience:-

• Master Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Up to 6 years of experience working in Transformer Design, testing, assembly, and/or manufacturing.
• Sound analytical skills, including simulation tools ((dielectric, magnetic, and/or thermal)) and preferably have experience in designing and conducting experiments.
• Willingness to learn and try new things and collaborate with others to achieve great results
• Experience in research and development activities would be also a plus.
• Responsible team player with a structured and result-oriented work approach.
• Overall understanding and domain expertise in power transformers is a plus
• Knowledge of Computer Aided Design, 3D Modeling, CREO application is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and team spirit
