R&D Engineer – Power Electronics

You will be working as R&D Engineer – Power Electronics and will be part of Electrification business area for Smart Power division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Global R&D/Technology Manager and will be responsible for defining and developing innovative power electronics solutions to fulfill customers requirements, within a multi-disciplinary team of electrical, mechanical, thermal and control experts.

Responsibilities:-

• Designing and developing power converters
• Specifying components and defining technical requirements with suppliers
• Supporting the overall design cycle of the new product, from simulation to validation and documentation, through design and test
• Conducting and coordinating complex analyses, developing recommendations based on technology or engineering practices and business considerations
• Supporting operations and after sales organization during trouble shooting phases
• Participating actively in relevant internal and external networks in their own area of responsibility

Qualification And Experience:-

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience in relevant field
• Experience with power electronic design topologies, knowledge of UPS technology and familiarity with the power protection
• Experience with simulation tools -MATLAB/Simulink, LT Spice- and programming language -C
• Knowledge in power semiconductor characteristic, inductors and passive components
• Good communication skills in English, both oral and written. Other languages are an asset
