R&D Engineer – IEC Enclosures

This is a R&D Engineer – IEC Enclosure role, reporting to R&D Team Lead and part of Electrification Business Area for Smart Power Division based in Hyderabad. In this role you will work on business priority projects of defined scope, recommend technical approach, required resources, and schedule interfaces with other teams or counterparts as required.

Responsibilities:-

• Make technical decisions by applications of specialized knowledge / skills, leverage prior work where appropriate; interface with internal and external stakeholders to assure requirements are met; build strong relationships.
• Ensure required deliverables and outputs meet stringent quality standards and documentation standards accepted by the organization and pro actively work to eliminate defects and setup processes to monitor OTD / FPY metrics.
• Communicate status and problems to management; work in teams and achieve targets in a global environment.
• Clearly express complex concepts and information in writing and/or verbally and is easily understood.
• Demonstrate project management skills by being a solid contributor to successful project results and improve project efficiency making use of lessons learned.

Qualifications And Experiences:-

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in R&D / Engineering roles of LV Circuit Breakers and Switchgear; Exposure to product design & development, quality, value engineering, costing of electrical distribution and control products like ACB, MCCB, MCB, Contactors, and Switches.
• Proficient in CAD Tools like Creo, CATIA V5, Pro/ENGINEER etc. and awareness of PLM systems like ENOVIA, Windchill etc.
• Working knowledge of circuit breakers technology, applicable regulatory standards, and test requirements thereof
• Highly motivated team-player with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, and strong communication skills.
