R&D Embedded Electronics Test Engineer

You will be working as a R&D Embedded Electronics Test Engineer and will be part of Electrification business for Smart Power division, based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Team Manager and will be responsible for conducting testing on embedded electronics in ABB Power protection products in Bangalore, India ensuring that software and firmware updates are properly validated before releasing to production. You will developing new and revamp existing software or firmware test procedures and maintain those procedures for future use.

Responsibilities:-

• Planning, designing and executing the software or firmware testing on embedded electronics platforms
• Developing new and revamp existing software or firmware test procedures and maintaining those procedures
• Maintaining the test case or test plan database. Providing software and firmware support for laboratory test equipment
• Supporting new product development test programs and product lifecycle verification and validation initiatives
• Analyzing test results and preparing test reports in partnership with the research and development teams
• Providing test fixture development and lifecycle support for the research and development team

Qualifications And Experience:-

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Science engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded firmware or software testing or development with embedded systems in commercial or industrial environment
• Experience in Microsoft azure devops platform or similar will be a plus
• Experience with industrial communications protocols like RS-485, RS-232, Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP
• Working experience in the Electrical domain is a plus
