R&D – Development Engineer – Mechanical

Responsibilities:-

• Develop concepts that form the basis for development of a new or modified product/processes/solutions.
• Participates, in collaboration with project members, in brainstorming sessions aimed at finding innovative solutions for future products/processes/solutions.
• Will work on standardization, product improvement, and development efforts of product line.
• May assist in development of design standards/guides, guide specifications, and design control procedures.
• Responsible to coordinate and manage deliverables from other engineering disciplines (Global product specialists/chiefs, electrical, process, technical writing, etc.)
• Analyzes complex design problems requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures.
• Reviews and approves design drawings.
• May work on research and development projects.
• Travels to job sites and regional offices as required in support of equipment problems, installations, and sales efforts.
• Assists operations with manufacturing problems and implementation of low-cost sourcing initiatives.
• Participates actively in team environment and contributes to successful completion of team goals.

Qualification And Experience:-

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical with good knowledge in the product design & development.
• Having 5 to 8 years’ experience in the field of product design & development. Hands on experience in modelling and detailing.
• Knowledge on machine elements like gears, shafts, bearings, chain drives, etc. and it’s design calculations and selections.
• Knowledge on standard steel fabrication and other manufacturing processes.
• Proficient with engineering design tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) and GD & T.
• Knowledge on Enovia is an added advantage.
• Should have good communication & documentation skills.
• Should be a good team player.
• Should be willing to travel to sites, manufacturing workshops and regional offices as required.
