  • Design and develop lithium-ion battery prototypes, from electrode development to cell assembly.
  • Provide guidance on structure-property-performance relationships for electrode development and suggest improvements.
  • Recommend coating trials and electrode formulations to meet targeted product performance goals.
  • Exhibit proficiency in assembling prototype cells (coin, cylindrical, and pouch types) and perform electrochemical measurements.
  • Work with battery engineers to design and develop Li-ion battery prototypes at both lab and pilot scales.
  • Design and conduct experiments to investigate electrode properties (e.g., loading, thickness, porosity) and their impact on battery performance, and propose solutions for enhancements.
  • Accurately document experimental procedures, technical and non-technical information, and collected data. Maintain high standards while performing manual, repetitive tasks.
  • Train, guide, and manage tasks for technicians and/or interns to ensure high-quality work and adherence to standards.
