Quality Engineer (T4-I)

Functions:-

ESSENTIAL:-

• Obtain required QA/QC documents for databook / datapack compilation from various business units
• Prepare quality databooks / datapacks to be supplied to customers by compiling project / product related quality documents  viz. Inspection reports, test packs etc. as per the work instruction (WI)
• Review quality databooks / datapacks prepared by peers and provide feedback
• Address queries from customers related to quality documentation of products supplied
• Review and approve quality documentation supplied by vendor for completeness and correctness to ensure compliance to quality requirements
• Prepare ballooned inspection drawings for manufacturing and inspection
• Inspect and ensure compliance to quality of raw materials, parts in process and finished products manufactured by Oceaneering as well as vendors
• Conduct supplier audit and NPD approval based on drawings, defined parameters and checklist.
• Knowledge of Casting, machining and sheet metal components .
• Validate all components and facilitate root cause analysis & corrective actions of supplier quality issues.
• Prepare, review and approve Quality Assurance Plan, Material Test Reports, Product Testing Reports, Final Product QC, In-process manufacturing quality

Quality Management System:-

• Record and analyze quality data using techniques like Pareto analysis, RCA etc. and recommend corrective and preventive actions

Qualifications And Experience:-

• Diploma in Engineering (preferred in Mechanical Engineering or allied branch) with minimum 6 years of relevant experience
  Or
  Bachelors in Engineering (preferred in Mechanical Engineering or allied branch) with minimum 4 years of relevant experience with 2 years in supplier quality role.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics:-

• Should be able to read & understand engineering drawings.
• Should have good understanding of GD&T.
• Should have good understanding of material, manufacturing & testing.
• Good knowledge of more than one relevant industry codes/standards (e.g. ASME, ASTM, AISC etc.)
• Working knowledge of Solidworks & AutoCAD preferable
• Ability to work in team and interface with multiple stakeholders in a fast paced project environment.

•  QMS (9001:2015 ) auditor
• Certified Supplier Quality Auditor
• Strong in both verbal and written communication skills
• Good computer skills (Word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software)
