Quality Assurance Specialist

You will be working as Quality Assurance Specialist role, reporting to Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager for Electrification Business Area for Smart Power Division based in Bangalore. You will be primarily responsible to support the deployment of the Quality strategy for a local ABB organizational unit, including quality culture, systems, tools, and competent teams with the aim to achieve and even exceed customer expectations, while ensuring sustainable operations.

Responsibilities:-

• Responsible for In process inspection & Final inspection of Low voltage products like ACB, MCCB, Contactors & Relays
• Create Quality plan/Control plan, Patrol inspection/Final inspection checklist, Deriving CTQs and Qgates
• Monitoring of process controls and First Pass yield monitoring and improvement
• Identify continual improvement projects and Opex projects
• Monitoring customer complaints and responsible for analysis and corrective action
• Responsible to coordinate to customer audit FAT/Certification Audits like UL/CSA/CCC & ISO
• Product audit testing according to IEC/catalogue specification of low voltage products
• Knowledge of Test equipment like mechanical endurance test benches, Electrical endurance, TR, HV impulse, CRO, environmental test bench, short circuit test benches etc.
• Ensure POKAYOKE/KAIZEN implementation in line to introduce process controls
• Perform COPQ analysis and cost saving initiations with in the function

Qualification And Experience:-

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Mechanical engineering
• Minimum 8 Years of experience in similar role
• Proficient quality tools like FMEA, 7 QC tools, 5S, 5Why, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, SPC, DMAIC & 8D Root cause analysis and Good Analytical skills
• Experience in Low Voltage switchgears, MCCB,RCCB
