PV Module expert Engineer

Responsibilities:-

• ­Prepare / review / approve PV module BoS specification and recommend engineering and manufacturing changes.
  
• ­ Analyze and evaluate different solar PV module technologies, considering factors such as efficiency, degradation rates, and reliability.
  
• ­ Provide technical direction or support to installation teams during installation, start-up, testing, system commissioning, or performance monitoring.
  

• Responsible for conducting bankable grade study of PV Module manufacturing facility which would essentially include:  
  
• ­ Prepare detailed technical specification of PV module and its BoM.
  
• ­ Conduct module facility inspection and review the manufacturing process.
  
• ­ Identification of process shortcomings
  
• ­ Quality management system review.
  
• ­ HSE compliance verification.
  
• ­ Module reliability Assessment
  
• ­ Field performance analysis.
  

• ­ Monitoring daily manufacturing status and process quality control: cell, soldering, lay-up, lamination, assembly, testing and final inspection.
  
• ­ Monitoring of equipment and operator workmanship, such as calibration, maintenance, measurement conditions and consistency with work instructions.
  
• ­ Comprehensive audit of bill of materials (BOM).
  

• ­ Undertake thermal and IV testing of PV modules.
  
• ­ Analysis and reporting of the test results

Qualification And Experience:-

• ­ Strong understanding of PV module manufacturing process and QAP.
  
• ­ Expertise in PV module and BoS specifications.
  
• ­ Understanding of PV systems, PV technologies, energy yield analysis using simulation software.
  
• ­ Strong analytical skills and an aptitude for analysing statistical data.
  
• ­ Demonstrate and maintain effective communication skills both orally and in writing.
  
• ­ Knowledge of the solar market.
  
• ­ Ability to identify problems, develop solutions, conduct analysis independently and in collaboration with others.
  
• ­ Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs.   
  
• ­ Available to travel periodically to remote PV Plant and Owner/Customer locations in India or abroad. 
  
• ­ Ability to follow the company management systems to ensure achievement of QHSE and company objectives and targets and effective delivery of client’s expectations.
  
• ­ Ability to work both independently and as a member of a dynamic team.
