Proposal Engineer – Engineered Solutions – IAT

The Role

• To establish, streamline & optimize the Engineered Solutions process of Chakan plant to meet the business requirement of Superior Customer Experience
• To upgrade & document all sorts of Engineered Solutions processes for higher productivity & quality
• Provide best possible solution in shortest time to CC
• Coordinate with GRCIA for feasibility study and resource allocation.
• Provide detailed proposals with risks, Assumption, Exclusions clearly highlighted
• Maintain easily accessible supporting documents for each proposal – Basis, Working
• Coordinate project execution with GECIA-Manufacturing-Supplier and Customer Centre
• Monitor and control project execution
• Communicate with all the stakeholders on project progress.
• Participate and support development of capabilities for Engineered Solutions PNE to align with the divisional vision for 1) Standard Plus products 2) Customized Products 3) Engineered Products
• To provide market leading support to our Customer Centers for Customized & Engineered solutions , and explore new applications to maximize our business potential in all industries, with a specific focus on Engineered Air, N2 & Gas Equipment for the Energy & Petrochemical Industry , to gain customer recognition as the segment’s top provider.”
• Responsible for the working out proposals
• Review customer requirements
• Conduct the feasibility study
• Define scope
• Validate scope with CC
• Get initial offers from suppliers
• Estimate engineering, manufacturing hours
• Responsible for the project execution
• Coordinate with GECIA for the resource allocation and project planning
• 3D reviews with GECIA , Methods, Quality , Sourcing ,SCM
• Coordinate with Sourcing , Quality , Methods for the introduction of new parts.
• Coordinate with SCM for the Planning and ordering of new parts
• Coordinate with customer support for scheduling the units
• Resolve issues address concern
• Monitor project progress with reference agreed Scope, schedule, Cost and Quality.
• As a Design engineer
• Do the preliminary design feasibility
• Select best possible product to meet customer requirements
• Propose alternatives
• Workout design calculations
• Conduct 3D reviews
• Explain scope, Schedule, Quality requirements to internal stake holders
• Address concerns, issues on requirements of internal stakeholder
• Work to ensure people and resources are applied in an efficient and effective manner to meet delivery requirements while achieving quality and safety standards
• Ensure full adherence to 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) practices at all times
• Undertake continuous training and development
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
• Identify business improvement opportunities within the organisation
• Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required
• Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department
• Raise red flags in time to the management if situations appears to be going out of control
• To ensure compliance with Atlas Copco Business Code of Practice.

Education/Qualification:-

• BE Mech /Having exposure to CAD
