Project Manager – Lead Professional

As a part of Vestas Power Solutions, the Converter & Electrical department is one of the key areas in shaping the products of the future. In close corporation with our internal product organization, we design the Electrical main components which ensures grid connection and compliance, and by this introducing the best turbines to the market. Our component ownership founds the direct electrical power path of the Wind Turbine, being the Converter, LV Busbars, High voltage Transformer, High Voltage Cable and Switch Gear.
Within the global and highly skilled Converter & Electrical area with approx. 130 colleagues, you will join a solid and diverse Project leadership department consistent of 7 colleagues who are responsible of directing projects in the area. The projects will both be part of overall turbine product development, but mainly consist of many smaller projects supporting special requirements coming from our Product or Sales organization.

Responsibilities:-

• PM for all Requests for Non-standard projects within the Converter & Electrical area
• Improve the definition of project scope and goals in close collaboration with technical experts by involving relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Develop and maintain a project plan to monitor and track progress, to deliver the project purpose and business case
• Handle changes to the project scope, schedule and costs, with a great willingness to adapt to changes and find the optimal way forward
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks
• Meet budgetary milestones and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis
• Stakeholder management to a large range of stakeholders

Qualifications And Experience:-

• Engineering degree or other relevant educational background
• 5+ years of project management experience using stage gate or waterfall principles
• Solid leadership skills, naturally taking the lead and setting direction in projects
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects in parallel
• Experience of working with integrated projects in a matrix organization with multi-disciplinary teams
• Profound written and verbal communication skills
• Solid business understanding

• Have experience working with Jira, Microsoft Project & SAP PPM
• Ideally have achieved recognized Project Management accreditation (preferably Prince2, PMI or IPMA)
