Project Manager – HydroPower

Manages all aspects of small to medium Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC)/Service projects, including risk to cost, schedule, quality.  Responsible for the day-to-day successful execution of contracted engineering, procurement, and construction scope in the areas of performance, financial metrics, planning, schedule, quality, contractual compliance, safety, and client satisfaction. Provides for the successful staffing of the project. Manages and leads medium teams of multi-discipline professionals. Coordinates and integrates the activities associated with the engineering, procurement, construction, and startup elements of the project team, including the activities of all third party companies contributing to the initiative.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Review and monitor EPC Contractor Project schedule planning, recovery plan and implementation;
• Review and tracking EPC contractors’ manpower allocation;
• Monitor construction, procurement, quality, and EHS;
• Monitor the permit control by EPC Contractor
• Assist Owner to respond to the related parties including, Lenders, Lender Engineer, Permit Approval Authorities;
• Assist on construction issues which may affect guarantee performance, reliability, and maintainability or construction schedule.
• Attend weekly/monthly meetings and other technical meetings as required
• Review & implement Project management procedures;
• Review & implement Quality management procedures;
• Review & implement Procurement management procedures;
• Review & implement Construction management procedures;
• Review & implement Testing and commissioning management procedures;
• Review & implement Project cost & scheduling control procedures;
• Review & implement Documents submission schedule, and document control procedures;
• Review & implement Quality, Safety, Health & Environmental (QSHE) management procedures;
• Review & implement Contract compliance review;
• Review & implement Co-ordination management procedures; and
• Review & implement Public and community communication.
• Prepare reporting procedure.
• Participate in meetings held with other project parties such as Lenders, Independent Engineer, Insurance Underwriters, Legal Advisors, related parties, etc. at Owner’s direction and in accordance with the performance of the Services;
• Coordinate and conduct meetings with all parties related to the project;
• Coordinate and conduct project monthly progress and other specialty meetings
• Review project schedule and planning & monthly progress reports
• Review Quality Assurance and Quality Control:
• Verification of EPC Contractor progress and invoices
• Cost control & change control
• Review and provide opinion as to capability of the additional or proposed sub-supplier
• Manages multiple small to medium sized Services projects, and/or a small EPC project.
• Manages multiple clients and/or projects.
• Obtains new/repeat business on medium size projects; supports contract negotiations with client peers.
• Manages risk which may include fixed price engineering, new technology or new clients.
