Project Leader / Sr. Project Leader – OFA Engineering Energy Conversion

To support and act as an active team member of the cross departmental teams for product development. You should have very high affinity towards the engineering design and product development. You should be very interested and creative to be able to design and develop quality products in lowest possible cost.

Roles and Responsibilities:-

• Lead and manage OFA Energy Conversion NPD projects based on the guidelines from the division, against the committed time, cost and quality requirements.
• Energy conversion focus will be Heat to electricity, Heat to Heat, Heat to Cool, and Heat and Pressure to Electricity.
• Be part of an OFA Engineering Team, which has the ambition to be excellent in designing and manufacturing of Atlas Copco products.
• Make VK and PK costs transparent for all energy conversion products produced in Dapodi Plant. Concentrate on consolidated cost pictures.
• Understand the water-cooled ORC, develop the air-cooling version, build it and put in endurance tests.
• Perform benchmarking studies, develop new ORC packages as per feedback from customer center.
• Take the lead to expand the export business out of India and lead these export projects in close cooperation with OFA Division in Antwerp.
• Follows up design, parts ordering, suppliers & parts delivery, laboratory tests.
• Introducing New Products as per Atlas Copco CtP process with Quality & cost-effective products with rationalization & standardization.
• Work closely together with sourcing department and suppliers for co-designed parts.
• Review of released engineering drawings and specifications.
• To solve, provide solution of Product Maintenance, Field issues to bring Warranty cost down.
• Safeguard the quality of the design and respect the design rules and QA procedures.
• Creating Qualification plans for Functional parts of Product.
• Work closely with Engineering Dept. of involved product companies of the group regarding the design of the different products.
• Active participation in PTM, TCM for NPD, production issues and field issues.
• Co-ordination with Airpower teams (Belgium) are necessary and should be able to run projects with divisional requirements.

Educational requirements:-

• Engineering Graduate- Mechanical.
• Masters degree is an added advantage.
• Minimum 8-10 years of product development and project management experience
• Having a proven experience on energy recovery domain, heating and refrigeration cycles, design of coolers, performance calculations, HVAC component selection
• Should have very good analytical skills.
• Should possess a good knowledge of manufacturing & qualification processes
• Should interact with suppliers and visit them whenever necessary

Knowledge:-

• Good communication skills in English language (verbal and written)
  Solid understanding and mature user of Office 365.
  Able to work independently with mechanical/electrical CAD tools (Autocad + Inventor)
• New Product Development in line with the Atlas Copco group, CTP process.
• Able to work within a time frame in line with management requirement and excellent project risk management and project progress reporting
• Able to plan and organize effectively with the right sense of urgency.
• Customer focus is must.
