Project HSSE Manager

Currently we are looking for a Project HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) Manager in Site office Koppal in Karnataka, India to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future.  The role of Project HSSE Manager is to assure that Scatec, project-specific and legal HSSE standards are implemented during various project phases.

Main responsibilities:-

• Support the relevant stakeholders in assuring that the project HSSE Management System is designed and implemented and actively manages all requirements;
• Engage in the early Contractor Involvement to ensure examination and oversight of HSSE capabilities and requirements;
• Assist in the overall interpretation and application of HSSE legislation, and international standards applicable to the project, such as ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015;
• Ensure that suitable and sufficient Risk Assessments have been performed before work commences for any activity and that the required mitigation measures are implemented;
• Support management and project teams to achieve Scatec and project HSSE objectives/KPIs
• Conduct periodic HSSE audits on project facilities and contractors as specified;
• Conduct in regular site HSSE inspections and advise the relevant parties on unsafe situations or good practices and general HSSE management requirements;
• Identify and support employee training and competence requirements;
• Ensure that the Emergency Response system is ready and effective for possible emergencies, and that these procedures are tested periodically;
• Be a visible leader in building a positive and compliant HSSE culture;

Qualification And Experience:-

• Education: Preferably Nebosh International Diploma in Occupational Health or Safety (OH&S) or equivalent professional OH&S qualification.
• Preferably a member of a recognised professional H&S(E) body such as IOSH.
• Language: Fluent both in written and spoken Hindi and English.
• 10 Years of construction HSSE experience
• Knowledge of international standards related to Occupational Health and Safety ISO 45001:2018 and Environmental management ISO 14001:2015
• Experience with partners, stakeholders and contractors
• Experience in brownfield and greenfield construction projects
