Project Engineer – OTS

You will be working as Project Engineer – OTS and will be part of Process Automation business area for Energy Industries division in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to OPC Digital Leader and will be responsible for designing authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Completing assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects, cost effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.

Responsibilities:-

• Evaluating, selecting and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments
• Providing technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities. Finalizing ‘Fail-Safe Philosophy’ and other key concepts as part of Kick-Off and Design Freeze Meetings
• Assisting in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects/programs (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, etc.)
• Contributing and sharing experiences in workshops pertaining to engineering design, tools, and processes
• Sharing best practices Lessons-Learned documentation across different projects and disciplines
• Ensuring that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements
• Supporting technical risk assessments and implements resulting actions for one’s projects
• Ensuring Bill of Material (BOM) for the project meets contractual obligations and project gross margin requirements by not generating Project Left-Over Material (PLOM)

Qualification And Experience:-

• BE/B.Tech in Chemicals / Polymer / Instrumentation
• 4 to 7 years of work experience
• Good knowledge in process simulation software like Hysys, IndissPlus, Unisim, Dynsim
• Good Communication skills in English as lots of global interaction
• Must be willing to travel as per the requirement
