Bharat Electronics Limited a Navartna Company and India’s premier professional electronics Company under the Ministry of Defence, requires the following personnel on temporary basis for Missile Systems SBU, Bengaluru Complex.

Note: The vacancies published in the newspaper advertisement dated 21.12.2022 for Electronics and Mechanical has been indicated as 10 and 3 respectively. However, the vacancies indicated above i.e. in the detailed advertisement posted on our website only may be treated as final.

Selected candidates will have to work in Bangalore and also travel / stay at Vellore, Tamil Nadu for realization of project activities. Hence only those candidates who are willing to travel extensively may apply.

Relaxations: The upper age limit will be relaxable for SC, ST candidates by 5 years and for OBC candidates by 3 years. Candidates belonging to PwBD category having minimum 40% disability or more will get 10 years’ relaxation in addition to the relaxation applicable to the categories mentioned above. 3% of the posts will be reserved for Persons with Disability (PwBD).

Terms of Engagement& Remuneration:-

Project Engineer-I will be engaged initially for a period of 3 years which may be extended upto a maximum of one year based on project requirement and individual performance.

Qualification: Full time (4 years) BE/B.Tech course from reputed Institute/University in the following Engineering disciplines –Electronics/Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Telecommunication/ Communication/ Telecommunication, Mechanical, Chemical.

55% and above aggregate marks in all semesters in the indicated qualification for General, OBC and EWS candidates and Pass Class for SC, ST and PwBD candidates. Method of conversion of CGPA to percentage as per University norms should be compulsorily attached.

Post qualification Experience ( as on 01.12.2022) :Candidates should have minimum of 2 years of relevant post qualification industry experience in any of the following areas.

Electronics:-

• Knowledge on Navigation, GPS/IRNSS/ Communications / MATLAB / FPGA Software & Control systems is desirable.
• Candidates should possess good communication skills and should be willing to travel to customer and vendor/customer locations

Chemical:-

• Knowledge on Safety and handling of explosives is desirable
• Knowledge on processing of explosives, High Explosive Filling, Propellant filling is desirable.
• Candidates should possess good communication skills and should be willing to travel to customer and vendor/customer locations

Mechanical:-

• Knowledge on CAD (3D Modelling using Solid Works, Drafting and likewise)
• Knowledge on design and Mechanical elements / systems.
• Knowledge on CAE (Static & Dynamic Simulations using Software Packages like Ansys, Altair and likewise)
• Knowledge on Conventional and Advanced Manufacturing processes
• Knowledge on ERP system (i.e. SAP) will be desirable.
• Candidates should possess good communication skills and should be willing to travel to customer and vendor/customer locations

Candidates who have experience in the area of Arms and Ammunition, handling of explosives will be highly preferred.

Note: Teaching experience, IT experience, experience in banking and financial institutions, non-profit organizations and, internship placements which are a part of academic curriculum will not be considered as experience. Work experience prior to completion of BE/B.Tech. will also not qualify as post qualification experience.

Candidates who are already working as Project Engineers in Bharat Electronics Limited are not eligible to apply.

JOB DESCRIPTION:- Incumbents will be assigned any of the activities detailed below:

Project Engineer (Mechanical):

• Design and development of Ammunition hardware, Aerodynamic Structures, Guidance surfaces, actuators, conversion of weapons to smart weapons, safety arming & fusing,etc.
• Handling of all production related activities and Project Management.
• Business development activities in coordination with other departments.
• Handling of activities related to Material Management.

Project Engineer (Electronics):

• Design and development of Ammunition hardware, Aerodynamic Structures, Guidance surfaces, actuators, etc.
• Business development activities in coordination with other departments.

Project Engineer (Chemical):

• Handling of all production related activities pertaining to explosives
• All activities related to safe handling of explosives.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

• Selection will be through a Written Test followed by an Interview for shortlisted candidates.
• Candidates who pass the written test will be shortlisted in the ratio of 1:5 for interview in the order of merit. Management reserves the right to increase this ratio. 85% Marks will be allotted for the written test and 15% for the interview.
• The names of candidates shortlisted for Written Test/Interviews and final selections will be notified on our Company’s website.

Documents to be submitted by candidate along with the application form:

• 10th Standard marks card (as proof of date of birth)
• E/B.Tech. Degree certificate (as applicable)
• All semester marks cards
• Formula for CGPA conversion of marks obtained in BE/B.Tech as notified by the Institute/University.
• Caste /Tribe/ Community/ Disability/Economic status certificate in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/EWS Candidates claiming reservation under any of the above categories are required to submit the certificate in the prescribed format. The formats of various certificates are provided as link to the advertisement. Candidates belonging to OBC category should produce the certificate issued on or after 01.01.2022.
• Post qualification work experience certificate/s from previous / current employer. Where current employment certificate is not produced, the Offer of current appointment, Employee ID proof and latest pay slip should be compulsorily enclosed.
• A brief write up on the roles and responsibilities held in previous organization/s. viii)Candidates working in PSUs / organizations should compulsorily submit the application through proper channel or produce ‘No Objection Certificate’ at the time of the interview.
• SBI Fee payment receipt.

• The application fee should be remitted through SBI Collect (through online mode or through SBI Branch).
• Candidates are requested to read the details and screenshots for making the payment.
• Candidates can also make the payment by approaching SBI branch. You have to select SBI branch in the payment option and download pre-printed challan generated through SBI Collect and deposit the application fee (as applicable) plus applicable bank charges in any SBI Branch. The candidate should ensure to obtain the seal and signature of the bank official
• Candidates have to enter the “SBI Collect reference No.” generated after payment, in the online Application Form.
• Candidates may go through all instructions and eligibility criteria carefully before remitting Application Fee and submitting the application. Fee once paid will not be refunded.

GENERAL:-

• Selected candidates are required to be covered under a medical insurance scheme for a sum of Rs.2 lakhs per annum and Life insurance for Rs. 5 lakhs per annum and submit the same on joining. In addition to the remuneration indicated, a consolidated amount of Rs. 12,000/- per year will be paid towards expenses like medical insurance premium, attire allowance, stitching charges, footwear allowance, etc.
• Selected candidates will have to make their own arrangements for stay at posting location and the cost towards housing  accommodation will not be borne by the Company.
• Shortlisting of candidates will be carried out purely based on the information declared by the candidates in the application form. If at any further stage of selections, it is found that candidates have declared false information w.r.t. their credentials, BEL reserves the right to debar them at any stage of selection.
• Candidates are required to possess at least one valid e-mail id, which is to be entered in the application Information pertaining to the written test / interview will be sent by e-mail to the email Id furnished by the candidate. BEL will not be responsible for bouncing of any e-mail sent to the candidate, non-receipt of emails due to invalid e- mail IDs, setting options exercised by the candidate, etc.
• There will be no separate communication to any candidate on their non-selection at any stage.
• Candidates whose specialization mentioned in the degree certificate does not tally with the branch mentioned in the application will not be considered for In the event it is found that candidates have disclosed false information in the application form, BEL reserves the right to disqualify their candidature at any stage during the selection process.
